Harini Chakrapani
Harini Chakrapani is an Ooty-born, Chennai-bred, Dubai and New York-based writer who also likes to call herself a nomad. Her love for words began when she heard her English teacher use the word ‘perilous’ and went on to write her first story titled ‘A Perilous Vacation’. Since then, she prefers to spend hours reading sci-fi, fantasy, gothic fiction, writing and browsing www.dictionary.com.
Her résumé includes a degree in Tourism Management from Ethiraj College, Chennai, and a stint in journalism with celebrity and lifestyle magazines, Masala! and Pose Dubai. Currently, she’s a student at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism.
The Secret of the Mantle is her first book.
